LINK19 Learner Committee

LINK19 Learner Committee is a small group of students who represent their peers at termly meetings to discuss current issues within the LINK19 Tutor Group. It is an opportunity for all students to be heard via the representatives.

LNK19 students Amelia, Ben, Matthew, Tanya and Charlie were recently interviewed to be Learner Committee representatives and were successful.  Our congratulations to them all!

The Learner Committee met for the first time in November and brought along lots of ideas including adopting a Charity for which to raise money and requests for equipment in the new Common Room.

On behalf of the committee and students Matthew read the following note of thanks:

“We would like to thank the leadership and staff for keeping us safe in LINK19, especially Denise, Fay, Paul, Joe and Adele.  Thank you for supporting us through this time, making sure we can continue with our learning.  The site team are efficient and keep the college clean this makes us feel safe to be here.”

Thanks to the team were reciprocated by the Chair of the Committee Denise Moore - Head Teacher

Minutes of the Learner Committee meeting are taken by LINK19 Work Placements Support Worker Rachael who co-ordinates the outcomes with members of the committee.

Thumbs up from the successful candidates
