Martin Francis LINK19 College Lead

Martin is LINK19 College Lead, the senior manager of LINK19 College, with accountability to the LINK19 College Board of Directors for all aspects of the specialist post-19 provision.

Martin joined LINK19 College in March 2021 as Assistant LINK19 Lead. With a teaching degree from the University of Greenwich, Martin has significant experience in education (vocational centre manager and lecturer) and industry (specialist car technician and adviser).

Martin is deeply passionate about increasing employment and independent adulthood opportunities for young adults at LINK19 College, leading by example, and working constructively and collaboratively. A major strength is that Martin has established effective engagement with key community employers and other stakeholders, putting the learner first.

Outside LINK19 College, Martin is a regional representative for Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), Ambassador for Sea Lion Paddleboards, and Ambassador for Warrior Kind UK. With SAS, Martin is active in campaigns regarding plastic reduction, sustainability, sewage discharge and supporting schools.
